I cruised through Target this afternoon and a notebook caught my eye. I’ll stick with my treasured Moleskine but I really love the quote on the cover of this one.
“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospection.”

Just finished watching Eat Pray Love. Corny as it may sound, it shared a great deal of wisdom that I need in my life right now… and offered the realization that I absolutely MUST spend 4 months of my life eating my way through Italy!
A whole year + 2 months and this lady is officially funemployed… which takes me back to last August’s post. I REALLY don’t have an excuse but to spread my food love on the regular, now. Looking forward to sharing w. you all! https://nolovemoresincere.com/2010/08/24/no-excuse-blogging/
Last Valentine’s Day, Dre outdid himself with delicious fried chicken cordon bleu and asparagus-champagne risotto. This year was even better, as Dre spent the afternoon crafting another impressive dinner. I may let him take the reigns in the kitchen more often!
Each Valentine’s Day, Dre takes over the kitchen and cooks up his own food love for me. This year was no different as I waited anxiously for breakfast in bed. Mmmm…
I can’t believe it’s been 10 months still I started at Marathon. I’ve learned so much about how a family-run six-restaurant local chain with successful catering & private event departments functions and thrives. My role began as the Director of Sales & Marketing, but when our event planner left, I was tossed right back into the private events world and juggling many hats. There’s certainly pros and cons to every job, but I truly appreciate the times I get to let my talents shine. With the recent update of our catering menu, I had the opportunity to shoot some photos of the amazing food we deliver to Philadelphia businesses every day. Let’s eat!

I can’t speak of Marathon Catering & Events without a shout-out to my office ladies.
You bring (update: brought) sunshine into each of my work days! Thank you.

A long night at work last night called for a late fast food run. Thank god for the late night Taco Bell/KFC on 24th & Passyunk so Dre could tempt his health with the Double Down and I could calm a T-Bell craving. As usual, the line was long and slow. This time, however, I could actually excuse it thanks to the amazing sacks of fast-food Mexican that hit the counter soon after. $83.16 + tax later, these dudes walked away with 42 soft tacos & 42 beefy 5-layer burritos. Cheers, men, but I feel sorry for any women you’re going home to bed to!
